Coral Coast Hotel is a certified “Safe to Stay” Hotel in Dahab, Egypt.
We want to keep Dahab as a safe haven for all visitors. That is why we are taking measures to avoid COVID-19. This works both ways – We take precautions – You follow the guidelines.
We have applied, completed and successfully implemented the appropriate protocols outlined by World Health Organization (WHO) and Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities of Egypt. The above badge (“Life, Prosperity, Health”) is your guarantee that we are operating under the strict guidelines to ensure your safety during your stay with us.
Follow the Guidelines – What You Can Do:
We want to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable holiday at Coral Coast. By booking with us you are agreeing to abide following precautionary measures:
Wear facemask & gloves in public places.
Respect the distancing ratio of 2m between each other.
Accept to be sprayed before entering the hotel ground
Accept that your temperature will be taken periodically during your stay
Report to Hotel Management any symptoms of feeling unwell
If you have any symptoms, be willing to be quarantined until tested
What You Should Bring:
Single Use Plastic was banned in Dahab. Sadly the guidelines required bring back its use. Help us avoid the impact that single use plastic has on Dahab! Bring your own plate, bowl, cup and cutlery.
And don’t forget to pack a pen and your own beach towel.
Hotel Measures – What We are Doing:
Reservations & Bookings
During your booking process we will send over a copy of our #SafeToStay information sheet, which all guests should read and agree to before booking with us.
Transfers
If you have booked your mini bus transfer with us, from Sharm Airport or Taba Border, know that the following is in place:- Your luggage & footwear will be sprayed before being loaded into the minibus.
- Your driver will supply you with new facemask & gloves.
Arrival at the Hotel
- Before entering the hotel, your luggage, passport, footwear and person will be sprayed.
- Your temperature will be taken, and subsequently taken every time you re-enter the hotel.
- You will be taken directly to your room, for you to shower and bag your travel clothing.
- Make your way to the Hotel Reception to complete your check in procedure.
- All Hotel staff will be wearing facemasks and gloves.
- Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the hotel.
- All public areas are regularly sprayed.
Rooms
- Maximum of 2 adults + 1 child per room.
- Used linens are washed at high temperatures.
- Fabrics & furnishing are cleaned using a steam cleaner.
- Your room & public corridors are disinfected thoroughly on a daily basis.
- Between guests and prior to your check in, rooms are deep cleaned using POSI tools.
Breakfast at the Hotel
- No open buffet is permitted, so breakfast will be served Ala Carte.
- Distancing between tables / guests in the breakfast room.
- We have been advised to use single use plates, cups & cutlery, however with such an impact on the local environment, we are requesting that guests bring their own items. See What to Bring below
- Hand sanitizer will be found at your table.
Around the Pool
- The beach & pool is open for guests to use. The pool is regularly maintenance & disinfection using substances in compliance with the international standards to neutralize COVID-19.
- The surrounding area of the pool include sun loungers, table and chairs are regularly disinfected.
- Seating & Sun loungers will be min 2 meters between other guests.
- Beach towels can be requested and will be delivered to your room.
Activities
Dive Center: Fantasea Divers is open for guests and is also in compliance of Chambers of Diving & Water Sports (CDWS) and ISO standards & protocols.
Day Trips & Safaris with Embah Safari and all their suppliers are compliant with international standards for virus prevention.
Wellness: Nour Wellbeing is open and offering classes and treatments
- All classes have distancing in place
- All teachers and therapists are wearing facemasks & gloves
- Equipment is disinfected after each class. Guests joining classes for the duration of their stay will have the private use of equipment.
- Studio is disinfected thoroughly after each class.
Resident Health Worker
- We have an in house health worker to monitor all guests and be present in any emergency case.
- A dedicated “clinic” is set up with all required equipment for any reported virus cases.
- In the case of any guests showing symptoms of the virus, they will be quarantined in a designated part of the hotel.
- Our local hospital in Dahab can handle non-critical cases and for guests who require more treatment they will be moved to Sharm el Sheikh International hospital.
- All guests are required to hold valid health / travel insurance and a copy of the policy and contact number will be required by us either during the reservation process of at check in.
Our Staff
- We must follow strict guidelines for staff welfare and interaction with hotel guests.
- All staff are required to wear facemasks and gloves and temperatures are taken daily.
- Training has been given to all members of staff on symptoms of & basic precautionary measures against covid-19.
- Upon staff returning from holiday vacation, they are quarantined for 14 days before returning to work.
- Staff housing is regularly disinfected.
