Our Yogis

Sara Campbell is a Kundalini Yoga teacher and four times World Record-holding freediver. Sara is passionate about people; how they think, love and live, she is all about helping people to realise they have more to give, more to live, that each of us has untapped potential and unexplored, unrealised depths. Sara helps everyone she teaches flick that mental switch from ‘I can’t’, to ‘Goddamn it! I can and I will!”

Sara has been practicing Kundalini Yoga since 2003, and attributes her personal practice to her phenomenal success in breathhold diving – from beginner to three-times World Record holder in just nine months. Through the mediums of yoga, meditation and breathhold diving Sara teaches people to live boldly. She is passionate about transformation and helping people achieve their dreams and live more fulfilled, peaceful, joyful, successful, loving, happy lives. Through her Discover Your Depths programmes, both in Dahab and online, she has brought hundreds of people to discover their own potential through awareness and breath

Yoga Instructor Sara Campbell

Michele MacKinnon teaches Kundalini yoga to children, ages 4 and up. Michele has been practicing yoga for over a decade and she was part of the first Teacher Training held in Egypt in 2014/15. Her love of children and her fun, upbeat energy ensure the kids have a positive experience in every class. Originally from Canada, Michele has been living in Dahab for 11 years and has been highly involved in children’s community events. As well as a yoga instructor, Michele is also a swimming instructor for children.

Some of the benefits of yoga for children: Improves mind/ body connection, refines balance and coordination, develops focus and concentration, encourages a fit and healthy lifestyle, builds confidence and self-esteem and promotes an overall sense of well being. Michele welcomes all children to her class offering physical postures, breathing exercises, fun and creative games and meditation in a safe, nurturing environment.

Susan practiced and trained in Iyengar Hatha Yoga for many years, starting off in the mid 70s and qualifying as a Yoga teacher in 1990. Susan later went on to study and further train with Ruth White and gained an additional teaching certificate in Karuna Yoga, recognized by Yoga Alliance and Wheel of Yoga. Teaching in many centres in London with all ages & levels including working with older people, some starting Yoga for the first time in their 70s.

She incorporates her extensive knowledge into her teaching and endeavors to help her students, on an individual basis, to find the correct way to practice yoga in order for them to reap maximum benefit and experience the joy of yoga. Her classes are challenging, energizing, relaxing, restorative and inspiring. Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation are also taught within the program.

Years ago while in Dahab, Mandy discovered Yoga as a personal practice, and as a MS sufferer she became aware of the associated health benefits of yoga for her both body & mind.
Through her own personal experience of the relief from yogic stretching & breathing, she was inspired to commit to a Sivananda Teacher training course to deepen her understanding of these benefits. During the course it became very clear to the teacher trainers that she would make a fantastic teacher and their encouragement led to her success completion of the 200hrs Accredited Sivandana Yoga Teacher training.
Since becoming a yoga teacher, Mandy has been working on sharing her experience with others, of how she managed her MS and the ultimate benefits yoga had on her quality of life, both physically & spiritually.
Her message is that yoga can help with so many of our aches & pains, whether it be a serious condition or a temporary injury. Yoga encourages us to move at our own pace, to do what we can and never to force any asana / pose, to become aware of our own bodies and the limits it can go to. Week after week, these limits will improve.
